and possible second coat for the Cetol 1 - Cetol 23
Plus system. May also be used on its own as a 3-coat

CetolŽ 23 Plus
A translucent satin finish topcoat based on a
proprietary resin that incorporates both UV
absorbers (absorbing UV rays) and transparent iron
oxide pigments (screen UV rays), which provide a
protective coating and natural finish for exterior
wood. Used in conjunction with Cetol 1 as a
protective topcoat for exterior wood. Normally used
as the last one or two coats in the Cetol 1 - Cetol
23 Plus system. |

CetolŽ Log & Siding finish
A high performance, translucent, satin finish
for vertical surfaces. This alkyd high solids
formulation offers optimum protection and a premium
look in just two coats. CetolŽ Log & Sidings two
coat satin finish creates a protective film which
gives siding and logs a premium furniture look while
still allowing all the natural character and grain
of the wood to show through. CetolŽ Log & Siding
product creates a durable surface barrier to prevent
wood from weathering.

CetolŽ DEK Finish is a high performance,
translucent, satin finish for decks. This alkyd
high solids formulation offers optimum
protection, ultimate durability and a beautiful
furniture finish appearance with the simplicity
of a one product two coat application. The high
solids alkyd resin found in Cetol DEK Finish is
another example of the advancements central to
Sikkens Next Wave technology.
Is Sikkens DEK Finish right for your
deck?
Deck lumber must be sanded (60-80 grit)
prior to application.
DEK Finish must be applied to all six
sides of deck lumber.
Do not use DEK Finish on screened-in
porches or covered decks because it
needs UV light in order for it to cure.
Do not use on skirted decks (wood
lattice skirting is okay).
If these requirements don't fit your
deck project, use SRD
or
another deck finish.

 Sikkens
CetolŽ SRD is a one coat translucent
exterior wood finish based on a special oil and
alkyd resin combination. The product uses a
transparent iron-oxide pigmentation to provide
an ultraviolet screen for the wood. Cetol SRD is
for wall shakes, siding, shingles, and decks.
Highly transparent; ensures optimum visibility
of the grain. It is non-film building and
contains fungicide to provide protection against
surface mold growth.
